Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a machining, drilling, or fabrication environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or drilling instructions
  • Knowledge of drill press operation and basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in standing positions for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills for logging production and quality records

Responsibilities

  • Drilling Operations: Safely operate drilling machinery to produce precise holes in elbows according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Setup & Alignment: Prepare and align workpieces, drill bits, and fixtures to ensure accuracy and prevent material defects.
  • Quality Control: Inspect drilled components for correct dimensions, alignment, and surface quality; report defects or deviations immediately.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, drilling parameters, and inspection records.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on drilling machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments; report major issues to maintenance personnel.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, quality control, and production supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of production goals.
