Almost all deliveries can be completed in an 8-hour time frame and may cover the following locations: East to Altoona, PA, and Cumberland, MD South to Parkersburg, WV West to Ohio North to Erie/Cleveland
Requirements
- Current CDL Class A or B license
- Current or ability to obtain HazMat certification.
- Maintain the license and medical card requirements of the DOT
- Minimum of 1 year of CDL driving experience
- Submit to DOT Random and post-accident Drug and Alcohol Testing program, as prescribed by DOT regulations.
- Available for overnights as needed
- Excellent customer service skills to speak with customers
- Handle difficult or emotional customer situations and respond to requests for service
- Must be able to read bills of lading with delivery instructions
- Ability to write short notes or comments on bills of lading or to the Manager
Responsibilities
- Drive a box truck to deliver and unload finished goods or raw materials to Simoniz customer locations, production warehouse facilities, or other specified locations
- Inspect the truck for defects before and after trips, and submit a report indicating the truck's condition
- Maintain driver log according to IC regulations
- Place finished goods or raw materials at a specified location, as requested
- Load empty drums from the customer locations onto the truck
- Move 500 pounds of packaged product using a manual drum dolly or electric pallet jack
- Other duties as assigned
