Job Description: Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, the Driver/Courier provides daily pickup and delivery services between the Customer Service Center (CSC) and Service Center (SC) facilities as well as other designated locations. This position is also responsible for operating a cargo van or equivalent vehicle in transporting inventory, mail and other items to and from various other facilities and locations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Two (2) plus years of relevant driving experience as a courier or driver preferred.
  • Must always project a neat and professional appearance.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and successfully pass an MVR check.
  • Must possess a state of Florida driver’s license to operate a cargo van and be comfortable with its operation.
  • Knowledge of principles of excellent customer service and the ability to apply them to business practices and operations.
  • Skill in communicating to people representing varied educational levels and cultural backgrounds.
  • Skill at exercising tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential issues and situations.
  • Skill in time management, including prioritizing and organizing in fast-paced and changing conditions to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities, as well as within a team environment.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and/or logs.
  • Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
  • Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
  • Hearing ability for verbal communication, conversation, responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
  • Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of packages daily between the CSC and SC facilities and other designated locations.
  • Receive and track transponder inventory while ensuring minimum/maximum levels and security.
  • Transport vehicles safely to and from CSC facility for required services and ensure quality and cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicles to the highest standards, immediately reporting any damage or repairs needed.
  • Transport equipment (i.e., transponders, consumables, mail, and supplies) to and from designated locations daily and as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of CSC supply room.
  • Maintain and follow all standard operating procedures and company policies.
  • Other job-related duties as required.
