About The Position

JOB DETAILS Driver Helper Base Pay Starting at $21.50 per hour 1st Shift - 4:00 am - 2:30 pm Mon - Thurs DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Rides with a company driver delivering products along assigned routes each day. Makes between 12 and 15 stops/deliveries per day Unloads customer product orders per shipping paperwork Assists driver in paperwork and customer inquires Worker may assist in other Shipping positions if properly trained Continuously performs quality control tasks: visually inspects cartons, PVC and glass for imperfections, places rejects in specified area per training Ability to visually perceive scratches, irregularities, or other imperfections in materials Comprehension, per training, of written instructions, measurements, or coding spelled out on shipping paperwork/tags The ability to accurately complete the essential functions of this job on a continual basis in a dynamic environment Ability to read, write and speak simple English. Must be able to read production tags, shipping paperwork, safety warning labels and signs; must be able to verbally communicate with coworkers, leads and supervisor regarding the delivery process and safety related information

Requirements

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance
  • Ability to measure lengths accurately
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Able to convert fractions to decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
  • Capable of using computerized equipment
  • Will require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
  • Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

  • A high school diploma or GED preferred
