About The Position

The Class A CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and Customer sites. This position will consist of operating van trailers hauling containerized waste, i.e. (Drums, Totes, Pallets) and other equipment including vacuum tankers, roll off trailers, and dump trailers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred (Reworld provides a fully funded GED Works program).
  • Positive, customer‑focused, team‑oriented mindset.
  • Must be 21 years or older for interstate commercial driving.
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Tanker endorsement required; HazMat preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts Monday–Friday plus one weekend per month.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be responsible, organized, and demonstrate strong safety awareness.
  • Must meet FMCSR 391.15 requirements with no disqualifications.
  • Must comply with all DOT regulations at all times.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, and lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and in tight or confined spaces.
  • Ability to dolly and maneuver 55‑gallon drums, pallet‑jack totes, cubic‑yard boxes, and pallets.
  • Ability to carry and connect vacuum hoses over different terrain and distances.
  • Ability to consistently work in all weather conditions.
  • Adequate visual and hearing ability required for safe operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience labeling, manifesting, or transporting hazardous and non‑hazardous waste containers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial vehicles and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials in a safe manner while following all EPA and DOT regulations and meeting scheduled appointment times.
  • Prepare customer manifests specific to the product delivered and obtain customer signatures.
  • Complete accurate electronic Driver Logs daily.
  • Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, and shipping manifests according to state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate, verbally and electronically, with dispatch regarding pick-up and delivery instructions.
  • Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
  • Perform daily pre trip and post trip inspections thoroughly on items such as tires, lights, brakes, air lines, oil, coolant, permit books, etc.
  • Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
  • Ensure and maintain elite standards of all operating equipment including but not limited to: Organized and cleanliness of the inside cab, outside cab, outside tanks, hoses, trays, fittings, and all other ancillary parts.
  • Complete additional assigned duties.
