About The Position

Experienced Class A CDL Driver that provides recycling collection services to customers in a courteous and timely manner. This category includes Floating Driver and Lead Roll-Off Driver. Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Operate company vehicles in a safe manner, obeying all traffic laws and company policies. Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, as a representative of Seadrunar Recycling. Ensure accuracy of all documentation for all prepared loads. Load and unload truck daily and ensure safe organization of supplies. Complete pre and post trip inspection and documentation of vehicle condition daily. Report mechanical problems to the attention of the Transportation Manager and/or Maintenance Manager. Maintain daily route sheets and route boxes according to company standards and state and federal regulations. Perform emergency minor roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs and tire chains. Responsibilities for those positions identified as a Rover include adding and removal of recycling receptacles at new or existing account locations and keeping onsite containers organized in proper areas along with making sure, they are fully functioning. Attending meetings, workshops, etc. as designated by supervisor. Advise volunteer patients of safety protocols and professional standards of conduct, if applicable. Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • High School diploma or GED, preferred.
  • One to three months (Class CDL A) related experience or training.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Reliable and excellent attendance.
  • Self-starter, maintaining performance standards while working unsupervised.
  • Displays friendly, helpful customer service with the public.
  • Must abstain from using illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol.
  • Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Read/write simple instruction, simple business reports, or memos.
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers, vendors, customers and management team.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a role model to other staff members and patient volunteers.
  • Driver must have Class A CDL and Airbrake endorsement.
  • Fork-Lift Certification or ability to obtain Forklift Certification, for certain positions.
