About The Position

Southeast Senior Services in Haines is seeking a Driver to drive the paratransit van for the Haines Senior Center. Drivers provide transportation to seniors and persons with disabilities. Job duties include assisting passengers in and out of vehicles, providing door to door assistance, delivering meals to homebound seniors, maintaining safety and cleanliness of vehicle, recording rides, mileage, and transportation records, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• Have an Alaska driver’s license and a good driving record for the past 18 months with no DUI or reckless driving for the past three years.
• Background check required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with senior citizens and/or persons with disabilities is preferred.
• Experience with routine vehicle maintenance is desirable.
