About The Position

This position is responsible for: Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities. Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up food donations and deliver to The Salvation Army Food Services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to spend the night away from home due to extended trips.
• Ability to maintain required licenses and certifications required of the position.
• Valid State Driver’s License
• This position requires a level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for members to and from the Corps.
• Provides transportation for children to and from on program nights/mid-week activities
• Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers
