About The Position

Motivate is looking for experienced, part-time drivers (24 hours a week) to operate vehicles to move traditional and e-bikes throughout New York’s bikeshare system. Morning, evening, and overnight shifts are available, including weekends. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need. About the Role Drive a company vehicle (large cargo van or box-truck) throughout the bike share system to redistribute bikes, bringing those needing service to the depot, following your assigned routeLoad and unload materials and bikes from vehiclesPerform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip, report vehicle issues to management, and clean vehicle as necessaryFollow safe driving and work practices and adhere to all workplace policiesCommunicate with dispatch/management throughout shift

Requirements

You have prior commercial driving experience with a large vehicle, a valid driver's license and can pass a motor vehicle record check
You are proficient with using a smart phone with apps
You are safety-focused, comfortable driving, maneuvering, stopping, and working in busy, urban outdoor environments
You are dependable and follow an assigned schedule
You follow instructions, ask questions, and request feedback to improve performance
You can lift up to 75 pounds; push/pull bikes repeatedly throughout your work shift, stoop, bend, kneel, sit or stand for long periods of time
