About The Position

1. The CTE Drone Technologies Instructor provides standards-aligned classroom and hands-on instruction for grades 9–12 in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), including drone operations, flight planning, safety, regulations, data collection, and emerging applications, in accordance with South Carolina Department of Education requirements. 2. The instructor prepares students for FAA Part 107 and other industry-recognized credentials, maintains a safe and industry-standard learning environment, assesses and supports student learning, integrates academic and technical skills, and collaborates with industry partners, families, and school leadership to support work-based learning and student success.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be eligible for or hold South Carolina CTE Work-Based Certification in Drone Technologies or a related field
  • Possess relevant industry experience and preferred UAS credentials
  • Meet all SCDE certification and background requirements
