We are hiring for a Machine Operator in the Dry Mix Department to help package ingredients to make biscuits at our Louisville, KY facility. You will report to the department Team Lead. 1st shift - Standard schedule is 5:45 - until job is completed. Part Time - 20-25 hrs a week, with potential for additional hours by signing up for special projects. Role reports onsite to our Louisville, KY Plant Hourly Rate: $22.45 +0.25 shift differential. A Day in the Life of a Machine Operator in Dry Mix: You will operate all different machines and equipment. Prioritize safety above all else Inspects bagged product and helps monitor casepacker operation and support Forklift Operator in the loading of totes onto the tote elevator. Complete quality checks and documentation observing standard work. Operate equipment within Quality expectations to include code dates, packaging materials, product standard, metal detector checks. Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements & Conagra's policies Awareness of food safety risks and escalates found risks to lead/supervisor. Perform all assigned cleaning and preventative maintenance responsibilities
Requirements
- 1-2 years machine operating experience - ideal
- The ability to understand the basic machine operations and settings
- Physical-Lifting and Carrying: negligible pounds up to 50 pounds, and up to 50 pounds to pull or lay objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position requiring the use of upper extremities and back muscles.
- Push or Pulling: using extremities to exert force to push, pull, draw, drag, haul, or tug objects exerting a negligible amount of force always, up to or exceeding 10 pounds frequently.
