About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The Security Supervisor provides on the job work direction to assigned personnel related to floor Security Officer’s duties in addition to Security Supervisor assignments. All functions are to be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resorts policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Shall oversee the security officers and security personnel, ensuring that all policies are followed, reporting any deviations to the Director of Security. Responsible for day to day activity, scheduling, and supervision of line level personnel. Shall approve and submit all Activity Reports generated by Security personnel. Shall maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment used by security personnel. Shall be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course; and any other training required by the Director of Security. Assignment and scheduling of regular security duties, ensuring and tracking attendance, providing for additional security as needed, ensuring that personnel complete all necessary paperwork before end of shift, report any breach of rules and regulations of the Saracen Gaming Corporation, enforcing policies and procedures within the Saracen Gaming Corporation, and issuing disciplinary action to subordinates within the Security Department. Shall maintain the chain of command, ensuring subordinates are informed of all information, as well as informing the supervisor of developments as they occur. Shall assist regular security in their duties, acting as regular security when needed. Shall immediately notify the Director of Security in times of emergency. Shall maintain the strictest of confidentiality with respect to the internal functions of the Security Department as well as any other information deemed to be confidential. Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains professional work environment with staff. Any other duties that may be assigned. Meets attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Attend all necessary training meetings. Assist in other projects as directed. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule. Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Should have some post High School Education in Security, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of prior gaming security or law enforcement experience.
  • Two years of prior supervisory management experience preferred.
  • Candidates shall have a good understanding and working knowledge with computers.
  • Must possess an understanding of legal ramifications and implications of various employee and customer actions.
  • Must demonstrate leadership fairness and sensibility to the customers and employees.
  • Must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees.
  • Must be able to work in an intense and fast paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.
  • Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to Security Job Descriptions visual and oral cues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
