The Watershed Construction Maintenance Worker II performs semi-skilled construction and/or maintenance work in support of the wastewater collection system and/or the water distribution system for the Department of Watershed Management in the division of Linear Infrastructure Operations. The Watershed Construction Maintenance Worker II is a lead role operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and skid loaders, as well as hand and power tools, to ensure the safety and optimal functioning of the operation. This role may also entail substituting for supervisors when necessary and assisting other crews as required. Supports a variety of wastewater collection system and operation activities to include responding to Watershed Dispatch calls related to sewer spills, odor complaints, cave-ins, cleaning catch and basins. Responsibilities include. Operates hand and power tools, light to medium construction equipment, etc. and is part of a larger crew working with skilled trade employees, experienced equipment operators, technicians, and crew supervisors. May also work alone or act as a lead worker on a crew for construction or maintenance activities.
