About The Position

Handle both the initial shipping and any returns or replacements of items within the E-commerce Department. When necessary, E-commerce Shipping Associate will also cross-train and participate in other aspects of the business, particularly on the inventory side.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• One year or less of related experience required; retail experience helpful.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and employees.
• Ability to operate a computer to scan and ship merchandise.
• Ability to physically sort and transport material from one work area to another.
• Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
• Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, push, reach, and do repetitive motion for extended periods of time.
• Regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds; heavier lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally needed.
• Regularly lift heavy containers using manual pallet jacks.
• Regularly transport carts of merchandise.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

Responsibilities

• Process orders using mobile device to access bar coded item ensuring accuracy
• Achieve individual production quota and quality goals consistently.
• Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
• Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped
• Affix proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping
• Contact carrier with any special scheduling needs
• Transport auction items to and from warehouse and storage area.
• Set up pallets, boxes, and totes for shipment of items to stores.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and update supplies as needed.
• Adhere to safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
