About The Position

The E&I Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems that support industrial food‑grade processing equipment. This role plays an essential part in maintaining production reliability, product quality, and workplace safety.

Requirements

2‑year technical degree, accredited apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training
5–7 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and pneumatic systems
Experience troubleshooting PLCs and reading ladder logic
Ability to read electrical drawings and perform calculations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of instrumentation, controls, and diagnostic tools

Responsibilities

Apply electrical and mechanical principles to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
Install, start up, and shut down equipment following company and OSHA/NFPA 70E safety procedures
Maintain performance and maintenance documentation
Troubleshoot and repair PLC, DCS, and control systems
Conduct testing using appropriate calibration and diagnostic tools
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Repair and maintain VFDs, motor starters, and control circuits
Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Provide input on efficiency improvements and equipment usage
Participate in root-cause analysis
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout
Utilize test equipment such as HART communicators, calibrators, multimeters, etc.
Support after‑hours on‑call rotations
Use basic SAP functions and Microsoft Office applications
