About the position
The position involves fostering students' understanding of God’s role in their lives and Christ’s relationship to each student. Under the auspices of the Office of Catholic Schools and the local parish, the individual will oversee and maintain a safe, faith-based learning environment. The role requires the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices, standards, curriculum, and assessment. Weekly development and execution of lesson plans and program activities are essential. The individual will also oversee the maintenance of all Center facilities and programs to ensure compliance with established standards of excellence and risk management/safety policies of the state, county, Diocese, and parish. Effective communication and collaboration with the pastor, families, stakeholders, and Diocese are crucial to promote the success of all children. Additionally, the individual must fulfill legal and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Fosters student’s understanding of God’s role in their lives and Christ’s relationship to each student.

- Implements standards, curriculum, and assessment.
- Develops and executes weekly lesson plans and program activities.
- Oversees maintenance of all Center facilities and programs for compliance with standards and safety policies.
- Promotes success of all children through effective communication and collaboration.
- Fulfills legal and contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Must be a Catholic in good standing.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education with at least 18 hours in Early Childhood from an accredited college or university.
- Have Staff Director Credentials from the Department of Children and Families.
- VPK Director Credential preferred.
- Related experience in a similar position is preferred.
