Developmental Pathways has an opportunity for an Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) in our Early Intervention (EI) department who will provide skilled childhood development services with an emphasis on early cognitive, communication, and play skills to children in their natural setting or via telehealth who are eligible for Early Intervention services. The ECSE will be responsible for adhering to the Early Intervention guidelines and documentation requirements. Also, they will collaborate with other disciplines, service coordinators, caregivers, and medical providers to develop and implement the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for eligible children on their caseload. Our ideal ECSE will possess strong organization, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ECSE will actively develop collaborative relationships with individuals, families, peers, providers, and other community partners and be proactive to identify problems and seek solutions for both internal and external customers. This is a community-based role, averaging 5-6 client visits per day, 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday. The focus is on building relationships and providing developmental support. The position primarily serves the Aurora area. You’ll need to hold (or be willing to obtain) an active CDE license with Special Education Endorsement.
