About The Position

Trinity School Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Program (ECP) Teacher to join our team. The ECP Teacher will work with children aged 2-5, guiding their growth and development while implementing the mission, academic philosophy, and curriculum priorities of the school. This role requires a dynamic individual who can create a nurturing environment where children feel supported, respected, and encouraged to learn.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children ages 2-5 in an educational setting.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing, flexible, and optimistic, with the ability to resolve conflicts gracefully.
  • Professional Growth: Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Technology: Proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Classroom Environment:
  • Plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to students' developmental needs.
  • Foster a supportive and warm classroom climate.
  • Develop meaningful connections with students and families.
  • Use reflective practices to continuously improve teaching strategies.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Maintain a consistent, proactive approach to guidance and behavioral expectations.
  • Orchestrate smooth transitions and engaging activities.
  • Create a well-organized, aesthetically pleasing, and intentional classroom space.
  • Balance variety and challenge to keep children engaged.
  • Instructional Planning and Student Engagement:
  • Design learning objectives that are thoughtful and developmentally appropriate.
  • Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles.
  • Incorporate open-ended questions and real-world connections into lessons.
  • Monitor lesson momentum and ensure optimal student engagement.
  • Student Supervision and Safety:
  • Supervise students in classrooms, during transitions, and on field trips.
  • Promote safe play and facilitate problem-solving among students.
  • Ensure safety procedures are consistently followed during activities and drills.
  • Collaboration with Families:
  • Partner with families to establish shared goals for students' growth and development.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with families about student progress and classroom activities.
