About The Position

Your work supports each child's unique strengths, needs, and learning style.

Requirements

  • CDA (Infant/Toddler or Preschool) required
  • Experience working with young children (required)
  • Ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with children and families
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay physically active throughout the day
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred (9+ ECE credits)
  • Experience supporting children with special needs (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Classroom Teaching & School Readiness
  • Use the HighScope curriculum to guide children's learning through hands‑on activities
  • Prepare the classroom environment to promote curiosity, independence, and development
  • Collaborate with School Readiness & Classroom Coaches to plan individualized lesson goals
  • Conduct screenings, review data, and support referrals for children with potential delays
  • Modify lessons to meet IEP/IFSP goals and attend meetings as needed
  • Step into Lead Teacher responsibilities when required
  • Family Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with families as partners in their child's learning
  • Maintain communication regarding each child's development and progress
  • Participate in parent conferences and home visits
  • Assist with family events and activities that promote learning at home
  • Support dual‑language learning when appropriate
  • Health & Safety
  • Follow all child safety and classroom supervision procedures
  • Document and report injuries, incidents, and safety concerns
  • Support families with health follow‑ups in coordination with the Family Coach
  • Ensure children are released only to approved caregivers
  • Report suspected abuse or neglect following agency policy
  • Documentation & Professional Growth
  • Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, assessments, and family contacts
  • Keep individualized plans updated for children with IEPs/IFSPs
  • Participate in ongoing training including TBRI, Autism, and disability‑support strategies
  • Engage in regular coaching sessions and team meetings
