Early Intervention Specialist - Therapeutic HOURLY PAY: $20.20-22.84/hour plus mileage reimbursement Positions start as part-time hours (about 20-25 per week); potential to build up to full-time hours - depending on availability and caseload in certain areas Position Location: Trona Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides early intervention specialized services for school-age children and youth to help them learn and develop. Plan, schedule and provide weekly early intervention services for a caseload of school-age children/adolescents who have developmental disabilities. Specialists work in school settings 1-on-1 in a therapeutic capacity to work on specific behavioral or developmental goals with each child. Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines. Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices. Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective coaching. Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team. This is a great position to start or advance in a therapeutic services career. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Development or a related major is Required
One year experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians
if candidate has Bachelor's degree, then experience may not be required
Valid CA driver’s license in good standing
Also must have at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state)
Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage
Effective communication skills to manage relationships

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Availability: most sessions will be during the day time on the week days, but some flexibility with availability including some evenings and weekend times may be needed
IMPORTANT NOTE: School-based position that is based on school year schedule; when schools are on break in summer and winter months it can impact working hours for this position

ABA and/or Behavior Management skills/experience/training is highly desired
