Ascend Rehab Services is hiring an experienced and passionate Early Interventionist / Infant Development Specialist (IDS) to join our team in Hayward, CA . This position is based in a pediatric outpatient clinic and preschool setting —not home-based—and focuses on supporting toddlers ages 18 to 36 months with developmental delays. The ideal candidate would start on a part time to full time basis with our AM class between 8:30am - 1pm but there is flexiblity. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (SLPs, OTs, IDSs) to provide services that promote developmental milestones through direct instruction and caregiver coaching. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in early intervention (ages 0–3)
• Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s a plus)
• Strong knowledge of typical and atypical development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to toddlers in a clinic/preschool setting
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
• Conduct developmental assessments and write reports
• Coach caregivers during sessions to support carryover of skills
• Collaborate with other specialists and participate in team meetings
• Contribute to IFSP goals and documentation
