About The Position

Under the supervision of the ELC Director and/or ELC Assistant Director, provide prompt and professional care for children’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs. Plan and provide age-appropriate, gospel-centered classroom education.

• Have a love for Jesus, the church, preschoolers and their families
• Model Christ-like behavior with coworkers, children, and their families
• Model an enthusiastic and energetic attitude with a team spirit
• Be punctual and exhibit a strong work ethic
• Be adaptable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching in a preschool or elementary school is preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for class families.
• Plan and implement classroom instruction, including Bible curriculum.
• Oversee classroom management, including but not limited to, diaper changes (depending on age group), meal assistance/prep, craft set-up, and discipline needs.
• Coordinate curriculum and lesson plans.
• Work with assistant teachers/floaters to ensure classroom is left clean, in order, and with all equipment and materials returned to proper places.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the ELC Director or the church leadership team.
