About The Position

Under the direction of a registered sonographer, responsible for performing Echocardiography and peripheral vascular ultrasound procedures on an inpatient and outpatient population in accordance with standard policies and procedures. Testing includes, but is not limited to, transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, stress echo, carotid duplex studies, venous duplex studies, and arterial physiologic and duplex studies.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Ultrasound Program.
• Must obtain one of the following within one year of graduation: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Must obtain other credential within one year of obtaining the initial credential.
• Act 33/73 clearances and Healthcare Provider CPR.
• Clinical rotation through educational program.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience as an Echocardiographer or Peripheral Vascular Tech.
