About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ecommerce Platform Administrator to help serve as the backbone of our digital operations. You aren’t just a "settings manager", but part of the team that understands the intricate web of how our Shopify Plus storefront, POS, ERP, 3PL and 3rd-party apps interact. The ideal candidate has a "systems thinking" mindset: you can zoom out to see the big picture of a workflow, but zoom in to troubleshoot a broken discount code or a communication error between our systems. Our team is the primary point of contact for technical stability, ensuring our tools empower our colleagues rather than slowing them down.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Ecommerce operations or systems administration, with a heavy emphasis on the Shopify Plus ecosystem.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to understand API connections, data mapping, and how front-end changes impact back-end systems & vice versa. While this is not a developer role, you will have to be able to carry on technical conversations with the team and understand how our systems interact.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate "tech-speak" into plain English for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Operational Rigor: A proven track record of meeting tight deadlines (like midnight sale launches) while maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Adaptability: A "tinkerer" mentality: you enjoy diving into a new app or system’s documentation to figure out its limitations and possibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational Tech: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and 3PL/Warehouse Management software.
  • Project Management: Experience using ClickUp, Asana, or Jira to track tasks and system sprints.
  • Data Skills: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or Liquid (Shopify’s templating language) is a plus.
  • Integration Platforms: Hands-on experience with iPaaS tools (e.g., Celigo, Mulesoft, or Zapier).

Responsibilities

  • Platform Governance: Assist with the administration of Shopify Plus, including Shopify and 3rd party app settings, checkout configurations, and Point of Sale (POS) integration.
  • Tier 1 Support & Escalation: Act as the internal "help desk" for Shopify-related issues. Manage relationships and support tickets with 3rd-party app developers and Shopify Plus support.
  • Access & Security: Own user lifecycle management by coordinating with IT on provisioning roles, permissions, and security access across the ecom tech stack to ensure data integrity.
  • Promotion & Catalog Integrity: Manage the technical setup of complex discount codes, product catalog, and promotional logic to ensure a seamless customer checkout experience.
  • Incident Response: Support the team during high-traffic events (Sales, Product Drops) and assist in documenting/resolving system outages or data discrepancies.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously audit our current app stack to identify redundancies, work with the Dev team to improve site speed, or streamline internal workflows.
