About The Position

The Loomis Chaffee School announces a search for a full-time Economics teacher to begin teaching in mid-August of 2026. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of teaching experience and the ability to teach a diverse suite of electives in the discipline. The ability to teach additional courses in the social science department or a secondary discipline is desired. Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school and in addition to teaching Economics, other responsibilities could include dormitory residence or affiliation as well as participation in the afternoon program at the school in a manner commensurate with the candidate’s skills. The Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school of 750 students and 190 faculty members, located in the historic town of Windsor, Connecticut. Need-based financial aid is currently awarded to 33 percent of the student body.
