This position requires a story editor with a great ear, who has knowledge of and interest in the subject matter of the show and experience with longform, serialized, narrative audio. The editor should be capable of evaluating and contributing to pitches, guiding production team to develop storylines and determine focus for individual episodes, editing scripts for audio, giving detailed mix notes, managing deadlines and workflows of the team and production, and overseeing the overall arc and coherence of the limited series. The editor will work closely with the host, producer, and director of podcasts and should have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team—giving constructive feedback on content and processes, stewarding production timelines, aiding and fostering collective vision, and contributing to a respectful and constructive work environment.
