About The Position

Our Project Management team currently has an opening for an Editorial Associate. As the EA, you would be primarily responsible for providing support services to Project Managers and Editorial Specialists (who oversee the publishing process for a variety of print and digital products) and managing smaller, light touch projects to gain experience in our clients’ processes and workflows. As an EA, you would perform pivotal day-to-day tasks at every stage of publishing. Your primary duties would include Preparing manuscript files for editing and typesetting Assisting with photo research, permissions logs, copyright lines, etc. Merging revisions from the author, publisher, proofreader, editor, and photo researcher Confirming requested corrections have been properly implemented Performing QA checks on copyedited manuscript, page proofs, front matter, back matter, and final deliverables Providing project coverage during colleagues’ out-of-office time Writing training workflows for tasks performed Overseeing a variety of light-touch work (e.g., single-service editorial projects, online ancillary PM projects) Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat are used extensively for these tasks. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or working toward one) required.
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, strong grammar and spelling, skilled time management, and attention to detail are all day-to-day requirements of an Editorial Associate.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with American Medical Association (AMA), American Psychological Association (APA), and/or Chicago Manual of Style (CMoS) styles a plus.
