About The Position

The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) has an opening for a full-time Academic Services Senior Professional (Senior Education Program Coordinator). The Senior Education Program Coordinator is part of the Training Education and Mentorship (TEaM) Core and will work with ACCORDS TEaM Core leadership, ACCORDS Administrative team, and other Cores/Programs in ACCORDS to support fiscal, event management, communications, and operational needs, as related to educational offerings. They will work both independently and in collaboration with team members and guest speakers who will be giving educational seminars hosted by ACCORDS. The Senior Education Program Coordinator, under direction from the TEaM Core Co-Director for Education, is responsible for coordinating all educational activity and events, as well as supporting the development and execution of marketing/communication strategies to promote ACCORDS educational offerings. The position will work closely with Core Directors and event partners to coordinate, manage, and expand on various educational offerings, including meetings, speakers, workshops, seminars, and national conferences. The ideal candidate would be experienced in project management, event planning and management, program evaluation, communications, technology, have some knowledge of health outcomes research and look for opportunities to implement additional strategies and growth.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, public health or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • One (1) years of program management experience which includes event management and planning (Intermediate)
  • Two (2) years of program management which includes event management and planning (Senior)
  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis
  • Ability to communicate professionally, proactively, and effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Advanced level abilities with Excel, Outlook, Zoom, calendar management, desktop publishing, and planning software
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to work efficiently and proactively, adaptability in a changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and competing tasks on a daily basis
  • Successful demonstration of a history in event planning, program management, and/or training and education programming
  • Ability to manage many stakeholders at once

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in public health, communications, healthcare administration, marketing, business, education, social sciences, public administration or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • Previous employment in a university environment
  • Previous experience in a health care research environment, and specifically with pragmatic research studies
  • Previous experience designing and implementing program evaluations
  • Training and/or experience with adult education theory and programming
  • Previous experience with budget development and fiscal management
  • Advanced technology and video experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate educational events, including logistics, travel, registration, and communication with presenters and attendees
  • Participate in planning and carrying out strategic educational goals of the TEaM Core
  • Implement program evaluation activities, including drafting, building, and analyzing evaluation surveys
  • Planning and supporting marketing and communications about educational events such as seminars, speakers, workshops, and conferences
  • Coordinating technology support and vendors for educational events
  • Providing support for admissions processes and course instructors for a graduate certificate program
