The Michigan State University College of Human Medicine online Master of Public Heath degree program seeks candidates for an educational program coordinator position to support a growing academic public health program. The MPH online program was developed to address the public health workforce shortage via a fully online program that is highly applied, accessible, affordable, and competency based. The MPH program is physically based in the College of Human Medicine, Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health in Flint, Michigan. The MPH degree program began in 2008 and has matriculated over 850 alumni. The program’s vision is to eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity for diverse populations in local and global communities while attaining the highest level of health for all individuals and groups. The MSU MPH program’s mission is to advance the public’s health through practice-infused instruction, research, and community partnerships that promote the attainment of health equity for all individuals, groups, and communities. We emphasize public health practice, leadership, and community partnership. The aim of the current hiring initiative is to strengthen our program's faculty and staff with an experienced educational program coordinator who can effectively support the operations of the program. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas: 1) Project Management, 2) Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Applications (Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), 3) Strong writing and communication skills, and 4) Experience with oversight of large programs, initiatives, or projects. The MPH Program Coordinator will be required to be an active participant in the academic life of the MPH Program and the Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health, including remote and in-person participation in: faculty meetings, supporting faculty and staff on academic committees, and program management activities in support on ongoing program operations and accreditation requirements. In-person in Flint, MI and remote in-state flexibility. The educational program coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the graduate program, ensuring efficient academic coordination, regulatory compliance, and high-quality student services. This role serves as a central liaison among faculty, students, university offices, and external partners, contributing to the success and integrity of the graduate program.
