About The Position

The Educational Technology Business Systems Analyst supports the design, optimization, operation, and analysis of academic systems that enable student recruitment, lifecycle, and engagement. This role bridges academic units, administrative offices, and technical teams to ensure that Academic platforms and related technologies are aligned with institutional goals and student lifecycle needs. The position requires strong analytical skills, understanding of higher education processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and user-centered system solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in business system analysis, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills plus attention to details.
  • Knowledge of Database operations, HTML and JavaScript frameworks, Markup languages, SQL, and design concepts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis and process re-engineering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of integrating or configuring generative AI capabilities within the academic systems.
  • Experience in workflow automation.
  • Ability to deliver quality customer service to a diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Business analysis certification is a plus.
  • CRM platforms knowledge is a plus.
  • SIS platforms knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translates business requirements into specifications that will be used in any implementation.
  • Ensures proper configuration management and change controls are implemented.
  • Analyzes academic and administrative business processes to identify system improvement opportunities across the student lifecycle.
  • Designs and documents functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and data models for the related educational technology platforms.
  • Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and platform related analytics to support operational decision-making and strategic enrollment management.
  • Evaluates system performance, user feedback, and operational metrics to recommend enhancements and automation opportunities.
  • Ensures data integrity, compliance, and governance standards across academic systems.
  • Supports testing activities including system validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing for new releases and enhancements.
  • Facilitates cross-functional workshops and training sessions to promote adoption of digital solutions and improved workflows.
  • Documents system configurations, business rules, integration logic, and change management processes.
  • Monitors industry trends and emerging technologies in higher education systems to recommend innovation opportunities.
  • Coordinates with developers and vendors to resolve system issues and implement enhancements in a timely manner.
  • Supports digital transformation initiatives focused on improving student experience, automation, and institutional efficiency.
  • Contributes to the identification of enhancements to internal systems in order to maximize the efficiency of the operation as a whole.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested by the Director or Senior Manager, with moderate to low supervision.
