Job SummaryJoin a talented group of more than 80 Morrison Healthcare dietitians at the University of Virginia Health System in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. At this level one trauma center, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas, both in the 675 bed inpatient setting, as well as in over 35 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system which values ongoing training and education. This full-time, 40/hr week position will support UVA Health's brand new Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Center. This is a very unique opportunity to be a part of one of only 15 EDS treatment programs in the United States. The position will primarily consist of one-on-one outpatient care to support patients with nutrition concerns including delayed gastric emptying, malabsorption, food intolerances, and malnutrition. The RD would be responsible for tube feeding recommendations and implementing specialized diet plans including low-FODMAP and low-histamine diets. The ideal candidate has a love for complex clinical cases, GI nutrition, and team collaboration. This is a hybrid role with some remote work permitted.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
