About The Position

As a W2 contract Project Manager with Burwood Group, you will be dedicated to a healthcare client project, with the potential to extend. The Project Manager will lead enterprise EHR implementations across ambulatory and clinic‑based environments, with accountability for end‑to‑end delivery, stakeholder alignment, and execution excellence. The ideal candidate is a program leader with proven success driving complex healthcare IT initiatives, particularly EHR implementations and Revenue Cycle–adjacent workflows. while operating effectively in environments with limited internal PMO structure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading multiple full EHR implementations in healthcare environments.
  • Strong Program and/or Senior Project Management leadership with accountability for large, complex initiatives.
  • Direct experience supporting ambulatory and clinic‑based healthcare organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence distributed clinic stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Track record of success delivering healthcare IT programs from initiation through go‑live.
  • Strong presentation and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Raintree EHR (strongly preferred, not required).
  • Experience coordinating EHR initiatives that intersect with clinical and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Revenue Cycle Management expertise, including familiarity with: Billing workflows Claims processing Reimbursement and downstream revenue impacts

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple full EHR implementations, from planning and design through go‑live and post‑implementation stabilization.
  • Provide program‑level leadership across interdependent workstreams including clinical operations, IT, vendors, and revenue cycle stakeholders.
  • Drive execution across ambulatory and clinic‑based healthcare environments, ensuring alignment to clinical workflows and operational realities.
  • Partner closely with executive sponsors, physician leadership, operational leaders, and distributed clinic stakeholders to ensure adoption and success.
  • Develop and manage program governance, including integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, risk management, and issue escalation.
  • Coordinate vendor and system integrator activities, ensuring accountability for scope, timeline, and outcomes.
  • Oversee cutover, go‑live, and hyper care activities, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and revenue operations.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, proactively addressing issues related to clinical operations, revenue impact, and change management.
  • Provide transparent, executive‑level communication on program status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Operate independently with limited PMO support, establishing structure, cadence, and discipline where needed.
