About The Position

The Quality & Safety Supervisor owns and continuously improves the site Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety/EHS programs to ensure products meet specifications, operations meet regulatory and customer requirements, and employees work in a safe environment. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to drive measurable improvements in quality, safety, cost, and delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or distribution quality and/or EHS roles.
  • At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience (or equivalent responsibility).
  • Working knowledge of QMS fundamentals (audits, CAPA, inspections).
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements relevant to the site.
  • Strong investigation, documentation, and training skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • ISO 9001 internal auditor training; ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA) a plus.
  • OSHA 30-hour; ASP or CSP (or working toward).
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the site QMS (document control, internal audits, management reviews).
  • Develop and execute incoming, in-process, and final inspection plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead nonconformance management, including containment, material disposition, and rework controls.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured root cause analysis methods.
  • Manage customer complaints and returns, ensuring timely investigation and response.
  • Maintain calibration and measurement systems; support measurement system analysis as needed.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on supplier quality performance and corrective actions.
  • Lead execution of core OSHA programs applicable to the site (hazard communication, PPE, machine guarding, LOTO, powered industrial trucks, ergonomics, etc.).
  • Conduct job hazard analyses and routine EHS inspections; track and close corrective actions.
  • Own incident and near-miss reporting and investigations; implement and verify countermeasures.
  • Maintain required safety records and metrics (including OSHA logs where applicable).
  • Deliver and track safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities such as drills, spill response readiness, and eyewash/first aid checks.
  • Support environmental compliance requirements as applicable (waste handling, stormwater/SPCC, permits).
  • Lead quality and safety meetings, audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and present trends and action plans to leadership.
  • Support change management for new materials, processes, or equipment to ensure quality and safety risks are addressed.
