About The Position

Nucor Towers & Structures (NTS) has an opening for the position of Environmental Coordinator for the Crawfordsville, IN facility. Duties include taking a lead role in environmental compliance at our greenfield and temporary operations facilities, driving permit applications, project management, training, maintaining required emergency contingency plans, and community outreach programs. As a Nucor facility, a focus of the position is looking for opportunities to improve our operations, culture, and environmental footprint. The Environmental Coordinator will report to the EHS Supervisor and be a part of multiple teams within Nucor: NTS Group EHS and Nucor Environmental Team. Positive interaction with teammates to promote a positive environmental and safety culture is required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Requirements

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university in environmental or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, preferably environmental, chemical, civil, or a similar environmental program.
  • RCRA waste generation, storage, and proper disposal knowledge
  • Two (2+) years of experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, and/or wastewater treatment operations.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations (air, water, EPCRA, DOT, and hazardous waste).
