About The Position

Our EHS Manager will handle a wide range of administrative related tasks related to all of the FreshRealm Fulfillment Plants in respect to the Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. The EHS Manager will maintain a proactive approach to safety in the workplace, handling claims reports, identifying and enforcing preventive safety measures, conducting audits & checks, and ensuring the proper job-related training is delivered and documented. Will support a positive culture while remaining flexible, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related experience working for a medium to a large employer in a position responsible for Risk Management, Health and Safety, and/or Workers Compensation claims filing.
  • Related certificates and/or education may be considered
  • Experience preparing a variety of software, spreadsheets, presentations, speaking points, reports, or other documents while managing changing priorities.
  • Experience preparing agendas, preparing SOP’s and SSOP’s, and preparing meeting minutes is essential.
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Must be exceedingly well organized.
  • Extensive knowledge of common workplace safety regulations an
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience working for a medium to a large employer in a position responsible for Risk Management, Health and Safety, and/or Workers Compensation claims filing
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similar
  • OSHA or similar EHS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a start-up manufacturing environment, service industry or chilled environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safety-related Management functions (claims, data integrity, documentation)
  • Worker’s Compensation activities
  • Safety Best Practices - create, maintain, manage and train
  • Conduct workplace safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Investigate near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage the disposal of hazardous waste and oversee pollution control programs to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Develop and execute emergency response plans and coordinate regular drills to prepare for potential incidents.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, managing all required reporting and correspondence.
  • Analyze safety data and incident reports to identify trends and recommend preventative measures.
  • Design and deliver safety training programs for all employees on company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain all EHS documentation, including safety records, permits, and compliance reports, for internal and external review.
