About The Position

Pentagon Technologies is an elite service provider in the critical and controlled environment arena with a primary focus in the Semiconductor, Data Center, and Pharma/Healthcare Industry. Our Technical Site Services group specializes in cleanroom performance testing, certification services, protocol management, world class cleaning and construction management services. We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Technician to join our team. Job Summary: Pentagon Technologies Technical Site Services team embraces safety and it is a core responsibility of all employees to adhere to standard industry practices and company policies to keep everyone safe on the job. The New Mexico Safety Manager position serves to develop and oversee safety practices during on site construction industry related services.

Requirements

  • AA or College degree on Environmental Health and Safety preferred.
  • Five years experience in Safety Management.
  • OSHA 500/510 training accreditations required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable at the discretion of the EHS Director.
  • Above average written and oral skills in English are required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of organization.
  • Above average mathematical reasoning and calculating skills required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to initiate and/or carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems, involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must pass company required physical/screening tests.
  • This is a demanding job involving extended durations of walking, ascending stairwells, and standing.
  • Overtime work is often required.
  • Driving record is considered with extensive use of work cart traffic on customer site.

Responsibilities

  • Develop TSG Safety programs.
  • Perform safety audits.
  • Develop and complete pre task job hazard assessments.
  • Leads TSG safety team meetings and include the following.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials
  • Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees and vendors
  • Oversee the applications for and receipt of necessary permits
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Attend site safety meetings
  • Develop and Manage Safety Plans: LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Ladders, MEWP’s etc.
  • Attend customer meetings representing Pentagon Technologies
  • Develop and at times deliver daily tool box topic talks (shared responsibility as back up to site PMs)
  • Injury management including transporting employees for initial treatment as necessary
  • Successfully complete all customer required training requirements
  • Assisting and at times driving incident and accident investigation with the purpose of determining root cause and correct action
  • Ability to perform under pressure, and the ability to handle and/or resolve conflict in a professional and courteous manner.
