As an EKG Technician I, you’ll play a critical role in supporting patient care by accurately capturing and managing electrocardiographic data—often in fast‑paced, high‑impact clinical settings. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail‑oriented, calm under pressure, and passionate about supporting life‑saving cardiac care. Position Summary The EKG Technician I assists with the operation of electrocardiograph (EKG) equipment to record the electrical activity of the heart. This role supports diagnostic and emergency cardiac care by preparing patients, obtaining accurate EKG recordings, and ensuring proper documentation, coding, and distribution of results. The EKG Technician I also serves as a member of the cardiac arrest response team, assisting during emergency situations in accordance with Duke Health policies and procedures.
