About The Position

MISSION STATEMENT Blessed Trinity Elder Care Center was established to serve Blessed Trinity parish and the surrounding community with quality, affordable day care services for seniors in a spiritual, nurturing and stimulating environment that preserves dignity, promotes independence and strengthens family relationships by encouraging and supporting individual choice. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Catholic Identity a. Be an active member of Blessed Trinity Parish or the church in which you are registered. b. Maintain a Christ-like attitude in all contacts with staff, volunteers, co-workers, clients and others. c. Participate in regular staff meetings with the Elder Care Center Director. d. Abide by the established policies, rules and regulations of the Diocese of Orlando and Blessed Trinity parish. 2. Medical Assistance Provide overall care for clients either directly or in a supervisory capacity, according to the specific needs of the clients. a. Care for clients in the center who become ill; evaluate and seek appropriate medical assistance. b. Review client medical information and assess current status. c. Supervise client self-medication as ordered by their physician. d. Monitor client diets and insure they are followed as ordered by the physician; monitor the nutritional intake of all clients. 3. Organization and Record Keeping a. Maintain secure central storage of client medication. b. Organize and maintain first-aid supplies in a central area. c. Document monthly progress notes and incidental notes as needed. d. Report suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation as required by Florida law. e. Provide assistance with ADL’s and client hygiene as time permits; assist with mealtime preparation and serving. f. Maintain client confidentiality always. 4. Supervisory a. Provide orientation and training of volunteers in cooperation with the Center Director and activities personnel. b. Conduct admission interviews and evaluate potential clients for admission. c. Assume the responsibilities of the Center Director in her absence.

Responsibilities
