About The Position
The Village of Versailles is seeking applicants for the position of Electric Lineworker I or II. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering reliable electric service to customers by performing inspections, maintenance, and operations on substation, distribution, and streetlight systems, corresponding with their level of training. The candidate shall have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and be able to obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license endorsement within six months of employment. Prior electric lineworker training and/or lineworker trade experience is required. The candidate shall also understand, or have the willingness to learn, how to operate equipment including but not limited to: bucket truck, digger derrick, backhoe, trencher, woodchipper, chain saw and dump truck; with a willingness to follow all current and future safety practices while maintaining equipment. The hourly compensation for this position shall be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The hourly range for compensation for Lineworker I is $28.30-$37.00 per hour, and Lineworker II is $40.10-$47.00 per hour. The Village of Versailles offers an excellent benefits package, including enrollment in the Ohio Public Retirement System (OPERS) retirement program.
