About The Position

The Electrical Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships while overseeing the successful execution of electrical construction projects. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitable project delivery from award through closeout.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in electrical construction
  • Proven experience in project management and client-facing roles
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and NEC
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of job costing, scheduling, and labor management
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., AccuBid, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in service work, tenant improvements, or design-build projects
  • OSHA 30 certification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and accounts
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to support repeat business
  • Identify additional service and project opportunities within existing accounts
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement and referrals
  • Manage electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and material procurement strategies
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Monitor project costs, labor productivity, and schedules to ensure profitability
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Conduct job meetings with clients, general contractors, and internal teams
  • Review and manage contracts, scopes of work, and project budgets
  • Track job cost reports and forecast project financial performance
  • Prepare and negotiate change orders and extras
  • Ensure timely billing, progress payments, and project closeout
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements on assigned projects
  • Ensure work complies with NEC, local codes, and project specifications
  • Support quality control efforts and final inspections
  • Work closely with estimating, operations, and sales teams for project handoff
  • Support pre-construction efforts including budgeting and scheduling
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and best practice development
