About The Position

We are seeking an entry-level Low Voltage Electrical Apprentice to support cabling and infrastructure installations within a data center environment. This role is ideal for candidates with construction, warehouse, or general labor experience who are eager to build a career in low-voltage, cabling, and electrical systems. You will work alongside lead technicians to learn industry standards, tools, and techniques while supporting large-scale technology infrastructure projects.

Requirements

Low-voltage experience or basic understanding of cabling (preferred but not required)
Construction, warehouse, or labor experience
Ability to perform termination and punchdown tasks (training provided)
Strong attendance, work ethic, and reliability
Ability to work both 1st and 2nd shift, plus OT and Saturdays
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on feet for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Telecommunication or structured cabling experience
Fiber experience (basic or advanced)
Data center or electrical apprentice experience

Responsibilities

Pull, dress, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) according to TIA/EIA standards
Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with supervision
Assist with labeling, cable routing, and cable identification
Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks
Support cable testing using basic tools such as Fluke or EXFO under guidance
Gain exposure to basic fiber cable dressing and handling
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Follow all safety protocols and take direction from lead technicians and supervisors
