About The Position

Electrical Assembler We are looking for an Electrical Assembler to join our team in Monsey, NY. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing a wide range of assembly and integration tasks related to the production of ruggedized electrical and electronic enclosures, sub-assemblies, and integrated systems. This position facilitates and supports the end-to-end process of production, assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical components using appropriate tools, fixtures, and test equipment, in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and AS9100 quality standards. This combined role ensures that all assembly activities, ranging from component preparation to system-level integration, are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently to meet production schedules and company performances goals. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
J-STD-001 Certification
IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification
Experience conducting IPC training and certifications
Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Regularly perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
This role requires the use of ESD/Safety shoes.
When required, Safety Glasses.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

A Technical Qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components in ruggedized cabinets, enclosures, and consoles to complete functionality of integrated enclosures such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instruments and computerized or uninterrupted power supply panels, according to specifications, using jig boards, hand tools, and equipment.
Cut wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters.
Cut plastic sleeves and slip sleeves over wire ends to insulate connections.
Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping devices.
Route, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal points, according to jig board layout, using soldering gun and hand tools.
Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, condensers, switches, and install accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering gun and hand tools.
Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and operational tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments.
Assemble components to a final configured product utilizing process and drawing instructions and blueprints and specialized tooling and fixtures, measuring equipment and hand tools.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine established assembly methods.
Stage inspection of product at required intervals to verify accuracy of work.
May perform final inspection and release paperwork prior to delivery to the customer.
Report any quality control issues to the supervisor.
Use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, digital multimeters, and automated cable testers.
Ability to read electrical schematics and understand assembly electrical codes.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills to access production documents.
Mathematical skills including fractions and decimals.
Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, and plugs using appropriate instruments.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Effective communication skills and ability to foster teamwork and accountability.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a production environment.
