About The Position

The Electrical and Automation Technician is responsible for the daily electrical support for half of the plant daily (East/ West) and at times the whole plant. Additional duties include preventative maintenance and electrical support for capital and extraordinary maintenance projects. The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, enjoys teamwork with all departments. Candidates will be chosen based on electrical competence and previous experience. Individuals will need strong time management skills, be self-motivated and self-directed to be able to complete in plant electrical projects/repairs with minimal assistance. Also utilize equipment logs and reports, and data from computerized maintenance systems to track equipment reliability and manage time.

Requirements

Associate Degree in an Industrial Electrical technical field or electrical Industrial or E&I Journeyman is preferred.
Electrical Skills knowledge
PLCs:Pico, Mico, CompactLogix, SLC500, ControlLogix, Guardlogix and PLC-5
Drives:160, 1305, 1336, Powerflex Drives
Be able to trouble shoot circuits
Strong Computer Skills including familiarity with: Electrical Software, Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP, iPad, Teams, and SharePoint.
Skills on the following electrical testing devices to connect, set-up, and perform testing to troubleshoot plant issues
Multimeters: AC,DC voltage and amperage, milliamp, millivolt, OHM’s , frequency and min/max readings
IR Camera: Take images and review them with the Fluke software
Calibration equipment: Calibration tester, dry blocks, etc

Nice To Haves

Servo’s: Ultra, Kinetix- - Required but a plus
Oscilloscope: AC,DC voltage and amperage, milliamp, millivolt, OHM’s , frequency and min/max readings--Not required but a plus
Power Logger: AC connections--Not required but a plus
