About The Position
Viracon LLC Journeyman Electrician – Tech 13 📍 Viracon | Owatonna, MN 🕒 Shift: Monday–Wednesday 6:00 PM–6:00 AM + every other Thursday 💲 Pay Range: $31–$36/hour depending on experience Viracon is a leading manufacturer of high performance architectural glass used in commercial buildings across North America. We are part of Apogee Enterprises, a publicly traded company specializing in architectural products and services for the construction industry. We are seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our Tech 13 team on our night shift schedule. If you’re experienced, self directed, and confident working independently, this is a strong opportunity with competitive pay and a consistent schedule. You’ll be installing, altering, repairing, and supervising electrical systems tied to light, heat, and power operations. Work is performed in alignment with established business processes and safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Journeyman Electrician license
- Two year degree in electronics with 3+ years of electrical or electronic experience OR 4+ years of related field experience
- Ability to read and understand work instructions in English
- Experience operating power tools safely
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Solid communication skills
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control, and lighting systems
- Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment independently
- Manage inventory related to maintenance work
- Enter completed work into a computerized maintenance management system
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and team performance goals
