We’re hiring an Electrical Engineer II - Sr. Engineer for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This person will be primarily responsible for hybrid vehicle electrical / battery charging design and development. Responsible for design of various mechanical & electrical parts related to OEM integration of EquipmentShare proprietary products, and the design of products to support the overall EquipmentShare mission.

Requirements

  • Electrical component design experience preferred
  • Experience with battery technology, BMS design, power electronics, electric motors, inverters, and charging infrastructure is beneficial
  • CAD & Simulation: proficiency in Altium Designer and Creo or similar tools
  • Software/Programming: C++, Python, Embedded Systems, CAN vehicle networking
  • Engineering Principles: Thermal management, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 2+ years related experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Concept and develop mechanical/electrical components and systems that may include design / specification of wire harnesses, battery packs, charging, and drive system components.
  • Communication with suppliers and customers on product selection and integration
  • Work with manufacturing, product verification and validation, and suppliers to develop efficient and cost effective designs
  • Document the design solution required for production and product validation testing.
  • Work with 3D modeling software such as Creo and SolidWorks, including the modeling of components, sheet metal, and hydraulic or electrical routings, wire harnesses, and schematics.
  • Other duties and design projects as assigned
