About The Position
As an Electrical Engineering Intern you will work with the Atlas Electrical Engineering team to help design, build, and troubleshoot compact electrical systems in robots. Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications, logistics and warehouses. How you will make an impact: Work within a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to help design and support complex robotic systems Assist with the design, prototyping, and testing of various circuit boards and electromechanical subassemblies Troubleshoot and root cause challenging electrical and systems problems
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
- Familiarity with reading schematics and circuit fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with Python or MATLAB
- Experience working hands-on with electronics and related lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and soldering equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience using schematic capture and PCB layout software
- Experience with microcontrollers
- Experience with power electronics - switching converters, motor drives etc.
Responsibilities
