About The Position

Management of Polyglass Electrical Engineering Team in alignment with Polyglass Strategic Goals and Objectives. This position shall have responsibility for assistance, specific to all manufacturing and headquarter locations based upon strategic objectives for the department and associated project assignments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, specifically Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Electrical Project Management with successful execution track records on safety, quality, cost, and delivery expectations in a manufacturing setting, especially in the roofing industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical designs, industrial controls and scheduling skills preferred.
  • 40% travel required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Electrical design software preferred.
  • PLC experience, specifically Siemens.
  • HMI and Historian experience, specifically AVEVA.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development & management of Electrical Engineering Team resources in aims to streamline processes & procedures in place as well as implement new measures to organize department structure to facilitate large scale growth within the organization. Conducts annual performance reviews and assigns goals for all direct reports based on the Business Strategic Objectives.
  • Oversees the successful development & implementation of projects related to process improvements, operational improvements, assistance with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on failures, facility upgrades, and related safety improvements at all Polyglass locations.
  • Executes the development of project deliverables through detailed technical specifications and scope of work documents which encompass the roadmap to successful project completion.
  • Manages the Electrical Engineering Team to ensure project budgets are encompassing and met during construction activities.
  • Reviews and approved all costs and documentation to support project overruns extending into the 10%, including CapEx Supplemental requests.
  • Communicates, facilitates, and at all levels of Leadership CAPEX project status and required to follow the CAPEX progress protocols.
  • Updates forecasted spending for Business cash flow planning.
  • Advises and suggests improvements to plant operations to facilitate Polyglass quality initiatives, plant safety initiatives, employee quality of work environment and process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyses technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Prepares budgets, bids, and contracts, and directs the negotiation of construction & equipment contracts.
  • Establishes and builds strong relationships with OEM’s and Contractors to support Polyglass Growth.
  • Performs administrative functions such as reviewing and drafting reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
  • Acts as working Project Engineer/Manager where necessary to facilitate their own project assignments depending on business needs.
  • Performs other duties as required.
