About The Position

First American Resources is a leading manufacturing company specializing in pre-painted aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel. Our integrated facility performs slitting, spooling, lancing, and stamping. We are seeking motivated, driven candidates with a desire to learn and grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Due to growing demand, we have an Electrical / Industrial Maintenance Technician position available on day shift with excellent opportunities for career advancement. The Electrical / Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of all manufacturing equipment and facilities. The technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment and systems while providing timely service and support to other departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Journeyman Electrician certificate or related experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical and motor controls experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Prior industrial maintenance experience: minimum 3 years.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and other automation equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and positive workplace presence.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility in work hours; hours may vary according to company/production needs.
  • Electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment: 5+ years.
  • Industrial maintenance experience: 3+ years preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Perform welding and operate lathes (preferred).
  • Journeyman Electrician certificate or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide maintenance support and assistance to other departments as requested.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Install, rearrange, modify, and overhaul equipment such as transmissions, gearboxes, motors, VFDs, HMIs, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Maintain accurate drawings, documents, and complete required paperwork.
  • Communicate parts usage and equipment shortages to the Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians as necessary.
  • Participate in safety and training programs as required.
  • Perform welding and operate lathes (preferred).
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
