We are currently looking for an Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Superintendent to join our team. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Superintendent to lead and oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on complex industrial mining projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position is on-site with a schedule of 3 weeks on 1 week off rotation. Flights and living experience provided.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson or Master Electrician license preferred; strong background in instrumentation and controls.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls on industrial or heavy construction projects.
  • Proven experience in a superintendent or leadership role, managing crews on-site.
  • Extensive knowledge of PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple trades.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting project schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in oil & gas, power generation, chemical, or manufacturing sectors;
  • familiarity with US-based electrical and safety codes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all electrical, instrumentation, and control activities on site.
  • Lead a team of electricians, instrument technicians, and controls specialists.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Oversee installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical and control systems.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and management to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractors for the discipline.
  • Conduct safety inspections and enforce site safety procedures.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance skills and performance.
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation for management review.
