ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL ENGINEER (MANUFACTURING) Keep advanced automation running. Solve hard problems. Own reliability. Flexcraft is seeking an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to keep our automated manufacturing equipment running at peak performance. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role supporting PLC‑controlled machinery, robotics, vision systems, and the mechanical systems that keep production moving. Your expertise keeps machines running safely, efficiently, and reliably—reducing downtime, improving performance, and supporting high‑quality output.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, controls, and mechanical systems
  • Comfortable working with PLC/HMI systems, VFDs, servos, and 480V 3‑phase equipment
  • Hands‑on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and tooling
  • Familiar with robots and machine vision (Cognex/Keyence a plus)
  • Calm under pressure, collaborative, and able to work independently when needed
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years maintaining automated manufacturing equipment
  • Working knowledge of LOTO, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and machine guarding
  • Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and on‑call as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastics manufacturing (injection molding a plus)
  • Vision systems setup and tuning (Cognex/Keyence)
  • Familiarity with CMMS and reliability practices

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, calibrate, and maintain PLC‑controlled equipment, HMIs, and industrial networks
  • Troubleshoot VFDs, servos, motion systems, sensors, encoders, photoeyes, and safety circuits
  • Maintain machine safety systems (light curtains, interlocks, e‑stops)
  • Read and update electrical schematics, panel layouts, and one‑line diagrams
  • Follow LOTO and NFPA 70E safe work practices
  • Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems (valves, cylinders, pumps, filters)
  • Service conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, linear guides, chillers, and plant utilities
  • Support tooling changes and line changeovers
  • Perform precision work: alignment, leveling, torqueing, and component replacement
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Log work orders, downtime, and parts usage in CMMS
  • Participate in root cause analysis (5 Whys, fishbone) and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and change records
  • Support startups, commissioning, and equipment validation as needed
